seriously.

I don't know what has been up the last 2 weeks...but I've reached the end and I'm ready for whatever this is to be over.

I had a really long post typed out but it was too long. So friday night our dogs got hit by cars we were in showlow and it was just crazy. We met our SIL and our BIL they were watching the dogs at the Doc Despain's Clinic and he met us there. When I first saw callie she wasn't moving very well and her nose was bleeding like crazy. I will spare the details because I was a mess and had mascara from my ears to my chin kind of deal. Doc checked them both out *NO BROKEN BONES* yes you heard me NO BROKEN BONES. how is that possible callie isn't moving? Really? He said they are very lucky dogs. It oculd have been really bad. Saturday will by far be the worse day for them. and it was.

Doc gave them some pain meds to help them sleep through the night. This picture is when we first got them home. They were so wasted.

This picture is in between callie's back legs. She has some horrible road rash back there.

Her neck had some road rash too. I couldn't get it too show up very well.

her Lip was split and Doc said she most likely had a broken nose considering how much it was bleeding. it wasn't frothy so he said it wasn't coming from her lungs (THANK HEAVENS!)

This is of Nova's leg. We really thought she just got scraped up.

They slept through the night Friday....I sure didn't. I kept checking on them with flashnights. I figured if they make it through the night then they will surely live. Nova woke up whimpering. Broke my heart. we took them outside to go to the bathroom and Callie started walking around like she had been doing it all night! It was amazing. She still is really sore and limping a little but you can't tell at all she got whacked by a car.
Nova isn't so lucky. she is still having a hard time walking and won't put too much pressure on her back legs she is in a lot of pain we are keeping her pretty much doped up so she doesn't have to feel too much. She will walk around a little here and there but then she is down for the rest of the day.
I am glad both of them are still alive. It could have been so much worse.

Oh Molly! Do your dogs normally get out on Main Street? I'm glad they are okay!

callie our big one has gotten on main street before. she is our escape artist. we don't live close to main street so she can't from our house, but my bro and sis in law live by joyce ann flowers so it is just a quick run to main street. they still don't know how they got out. callie can jump the fence, but the little girl can't even jump into our expedition and that night their little puppy also got out and there aren't any holes or anything they can escape through. they have a crazy neighbor that is obsessed with their dogs so they think she opened the gate.
