I finally have some time to catch up on some blogging. I finally have something blog worthy but I just can't seem to get enough time to sit and blog. but here it goes:
This October we were able to go pick up my Brother JD off his mission. Let me tell you, not seeing my only brother for 2 years was weird!
I just had to start it off with this picture because my husband is that good looking. I'm not even kidding!
Auntie Lea was nice enough to make us a goodie bag for the plane ride. Have I ever told you how much I love her? a ton. She has the sweetest heart. period.
My beautiful Mom.

This is honestly one of the most amazing pictures I think I have ever taken. This was Mt. Hood as we were flying in.

So we arrived in Or on Sunday the 18th. We got settled in our hotel and waited out the night. We were exhausted already and the trip hadn't even begun! But honestly we really wanted to go to sleep because the next day would be the end of 2 very long years.
Finally, after 1 gruelling night and an even longer morning it was time to go see little brother. The plan was to meet up at JD's transfer meeting at 1:00PM. Of course we had to do a drive by at 12:00 PM to see if he was outside of the church. Luckily, he wasn't. We went and ate lunch and ran into a few missionary buddies of Jackson's. Of course, one was from Taylor and Jake grew up with him (Have I said that EVERYWHERE we go Jake knows someone? for example: we are in Texas. the MIDDLE of Texas at a random gas station and in walks one of Jake's buddies he went to the dunes with just a few months back. No I am serious this happens all the time.) The time finally comes and it is 12:45PM we start to head back to the church and we are driving to find a parking spot and there he was talking to another missionary. He looks at us with his huge grin and waves. I will never forget that moment.
The first hug after 2 years.

:)
We were able to attend Jacks transfer meeting. It blew me away, it was amazing.
After transfer meetings.
Elder Parker and little boy Parker.
The Nixon's were able to go to Oregon on Saturday and take JD to lunch for his birthday. So lucky!
The whole gang with JD's mission president.
With blonde hair we really look like sisters.
No mistaken whose kid this is..
This little boy is darling.
So, after the transfer meeting we took JD to lunch then he drove us around town checked out alot of places around Portland. Then we took him back and he had his final interview and my mom and dad went to a testimony meeting for all the missionaries going home. Jake and I hung out at the hotel and got to watch Parker while Linds and Kodi went out for Sushi (barf).
On Tuesday, JD was released to us in the morning. We went by Bro. Foote's house and then went to Cape Meares. It was gorgeous. I love California beaches, but this coast was just beautiful. Hands down.
The Octopus tree.
Then after that we headed to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. It was bomb. We ate lunch there. Their Icecream was AMMMAZING.
The rest of Tuesday we met some friends JD made. They were really awesome. It was finally nice to meet the people I had heard about for the last 2 years.
Weds. The Nixon's weren't feeling very well so we stayed at the amazing Hotel in Cannon Beach for a little of the morning then packed up and headed to Seaside, while Jd and my parents visited more couples.
Lindsey and Parker.
Jake and his friend.
Parker loves Jake. They chill all the time.
Haha, I totally had lemon drops in my mouth. Holla.
Seaside.
Then, we went and visited a few more Families Jacks wanted to say goodbye too.
That night JD wanted to burn(weird right?) a very worn out suit coat. So we went down on the beach on Cannon Beach and light that sucker up.
Jackson lighting the fire.
The next day we woke up early and headed back to Portland and went to the Temple. I am so glad we got to do a session. The temple was amazing. Marble everywhere.
After that, We met up with the Nixon's and headed to St. John. After being in Oregon I LOVE bridges. They had some amazing ones. This is the St. John Bridge.
Parker and I. The fall was amazing.
Then we packed up and headed for the Airport. Our flight got delayed about an hour. Give or take so we played games. Then we finally rolled into Arizona with our brother!
Oregon was gorgeous. I am ready to go back.
It is so fun having JD home. I missed him so much. he comes and hangs out with us like we aren't an old married couple. We are so glad to have him home!

wow looks like you guys had a blast!!! I cannot believe that JD is done with his mission, that is awesome! It is so pretty there. Hope your doing great :)
How fun! That picture of you and Parker with the tree in the background is SO SO pretty! I lived in Wilsonville, Oregon when I was 9-10 and LOVED it! I remember we went to all those places too. There is SO much to see up there. I wonder what people see when they come to AZ. It doesn't seem as exciting as some states :)
Glad your brother is home now :) That kinda went by fast!
ahh what an amazing trip!! It's so stinken pretty there. I'm glad JD is home. Is he going by Jackson now or still JD? I'm confused.
